What is Traffic.com Wireless Web?
Traffic.com Wireless Web is a free service that allows mobile phone users to access traffic information through their phone's Web browser. It features accurate, up-to-the-minute traffic information including travel times, vehicle speeds, delay times, and incident reports.
What type of information is available on Traffic.com Wireless Web?
On Traffic.com Wireless Web, users can access basic city-wide traffic information or their own personalized reports. To receive personalized information, users can register at www.traffic.com and then create and save their daily commutes or weekend travel routes through the MyTraffic™ suite of free services.
How do I access Traffic.com information from my phone?
To access Traffic.com Wireless Web, open your phones Web browser and enter the URL mobi.traffic.com into your phones browser. The place where you enter the information varies from phone to phone, but can usually be found in the phone menus relating to the wireless web.
Do I need a data plan to get wireless internet access?
Yes. On most phones you will need a data plan that allows you access to the wireless internet.
Do I need a particular type of phone?
No. Traffic.com's wireless traffic solution works with on any phone that has wireless web access, including older model phones, smart phones, PDA's and leading handsets.
What are some of the features of Wireless Traffic.com?
With Traffic.com Wireless Web you can have most of the capabilities of the Traffic.com website right on your phone. You can select any of over 50 major US metropolitan areas. You can see local hotspots or view traffic on all the major roads in a given city. If you are a registered user of Traffic.com, you can also access traffic reports for your personal drives directly from your phone.
How do I use Traffic.com Wireless Web?
If you are coming to the product for the first time, you will need to select a city. Once the city is selected, you will be able to access the products features. For details on particular features click on the link below.

Selecting a City
To view traffic on your phone you will first have to select a city. Simply select the link "Change City", locate the city you are interested in, and press go. You only have to do this the fist time you use the service because we remember your last selection.
Viewing Local Hotspots
To see the trouble areas in a particular city, select "Hotspots" from the home page menu. You will see a list of problem areas, with the worst ones first. Select any one of the links for more detailed traffic information on the given hotspot.
Viewing All Roads
Traffic.com monitors traffic on all of the major roadways in the cities we cover. You can see all of the roads covered for each city by selecting "All Roads" from the home page. Simply click on the road name, and select the direction you want to view, to see detailed information for the entire roadway. Long roadways are broken into segments so you can look at the ones that matter most to you.
Accessing Recently Viewed Roads
To make it easier for you to get to the roads you view the most, Traffic.com stores the 5 roads you have most recently viewed. Simply select All Roads and then Select "Recently Viewed" to access your list.
Viewing your Traffic.com Personalized Drive Information
Traffic.com lets you create personalized "Drives" so you can view Traffic along your frequently traveled routes (Home to Work; Work to Home...). To set up Drives, you must go to Traffic.com and follow the instructions. Creating Drives is quick, easy, and free.
Once you have saved your own Drives, you will be able to view detailed traffic reports for your Drives any time by selecting "My Drives". You will have to sign in on your phone once with your Traffic.com username and password so we can identify you. Selecting "My Drives" returns a list of drives, with their JamFactor and travel time. Select a drive to view more detail. Long drives are broken into segments so you can quickly see where any problems are. You can select a segment for more details.
Viewing Traffic from Another City
To change the city you are viewing, simply select the link "Change City", locate the city you are interested in, and click Go. Once you have selected a city, we will remember it until you select another city.
Understanding your traffic Alert?
Traffic.com is constantly monitoring the traffic conditions in most major cities across the US using the most advanced technology available. We provide very detailed traffic information in a simple format.
The colored bar seen here is called the JamFactor®. The Traffic.com JamFactor is a rating of traffic conditions on a scale from 0 to 10. The higher the JamFactor, the worse the traffic conditions. With the JamFactor, you can get an idea of traffic conditions at a glance. To get details, you can click to view the road details and see the specific delays or incidents on that road.
